About

I’m Louis Schumaker — ISSA-certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and Bodybuilding Specialist.

I’ve spent over 7 years in Kyokushin Karate and 3 years under the bar, studying the art of discipline. My training philosophy is simple: train hard, eat real food, reject comfort.

I built Uncivilized Fitness because men need a place to reconnect with something real — something that demands effort and gives purpose in return.

Uncivilized Fitness was born from a simple truth echoed through myth and legend — from The Epic of Gilgamesh to Conan the Barbariancivilization makes men weak; the savage man is strongest.

In ancient stories, strength was survival. Men hunted, fought, and built with their bare hands. But in the modern age, that fire’s been smothered. Comfort has become a religion. Men have been taught to celebrate mediocrity — to call the dad bod “normal,” to treat weakness as acceptance, and to mock strength as insecurity.

Everywhere you look, society rewards indulgence. There’s a McDonald’s at every exit, screens pumping dopamine into your brain, and “entertainment” designed to keep you numb — porn, endless scrolling, digital escapism. It’s not accidental. It’s a system built to keep you pacified — fed, entertained, and weak.

Uncivilized Fitness is the counterattack. It’s a call to arms for those who feel the decay and refuse to be part of it. This isn’t just about building muscle — it’s about rebuilding yourself: body, mind, and spirit. Through training, discipline, and clean living, you reclaim what society stripped from you — your strength, your focus, your masculine vitality.

This blog exists as a rebellion against modern decay. If you’re ready to reject comfort, burn away the brain rot, and forge the man you were meant to be, you must become barbaric. You must become uncivilized.
